ULTIMATE ENCOUNTER THROWDOWNOne room! That's all you have. One room to thrill your players!!! What will you fill it with? What type of encounter will it be? Design one ultimate encounter, and win free dice!
Enter your encounter in the competition, and you have a chance of winning a commissioned set of Monomakes dice (7 polyhedral dice).
Q. What format should my submission be in?A. Please submit all entries as a PDF. If you're going for something Theater of the Mind, just a text document will do; if it's for a VTT, a map might also be good! In the end, design your encounter and document with whatever will make your encounter easy to run, interesting, engaging, and fun to play. Entries will be judged on fun, innovation, aesthetics, and all around cool factor (hey, its subjective, but impress Alex and Joe, and those tasty dice will be yours!).
Q. When is the winner chosen?A. All submissions need to be in by December 9, 2022. Winners will be chosen soon after, and then a special episode will be released December 11 or December 18 announcing the winner! All entries are very much appreciated, but there can be only one 1st prize winner!
Q. What's stopping me ripping off someone else's work?A. Your own conscience/ Wheaton's Law.
Q. Which system should it be for?A. Ideally your one room encounter should be for a game published or written by Runehammer Games, e.g. ICRPG, EZD6, Viking Death Squad, Hard Suit, etc. If you have planned the encounter for another system in mind, that is fine as long as it doesn't rely on that system to be playable. Keep the encounter system agnostic, if possible, in that case..Q. Where and when do I submit my entry?A. Please email all entries to: ultimateeffortshow@gmail.comDon't forget to include your username and associated platform (Runehammer Discord, Runehammer Forum, etc.).
Q. I want to enter, but don’t know what to write!A. Looking for inspiration? Take a look in the GM section of your ICRPG rulebook. Or alternatively, watch the Runehammer channel for epic room design, or listen to the Runehammer patreon DM advice!
